It’s been a banner year for eCommerce revenues around the globe, and yet 2016 promises to bring even more explosive growth. A rising tide lifts all boats, and the trend towards deepening collaboration between everyone in the ecosystem – merchants, platforms, fraud prevention solution providers, and payment processors alike – will only become more prominent as eCommerce expands and matures.

Riskified makes sure to keep a finger on the pulse of the industry by participating in eCommerce conferences and events throughout the year. Attending these events allows us to gain insight into the issues facing merchants, to grow our connections and partnerships, and to stay up-to-date with the latest in eCommerce challenges, trends, and best practices.

We’re looking forward to attending some great events in 2016 and have compiled a list of recommended conferences for eCommerce executives this year. We will be updating this list continuously throughout the year.

Comprehensive eCommerce Conferences

Growing Global is April 13-14 in Cincinnati, Ohio. A comprehensive array of topics for eCommerce retailers including marketing strategies, customer experience, and cross-border strategies will be covered.

Shoptalk is May 16-18, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This show focuses on the issues and possibilities presented by technological disruption in eCommerce.

CNP Expo is May 23-26 in Orlando, Florida. Topics at this conference cover a wide variety of interest areas including security, software, and payments.

Global Ecommerce Summit is May 31-June 1 in Barcelona, Spain. This year’s summit theme is Shaping the future of digital commerce. The fifth consecutive European eCommerce awards will also be held here.

Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) is June 7-10 in Chicago, Illinois. The agenda at IRCE is set by the editorial staff of the Internet Retailer magazine and will feature eCommerce vendors specializing in a variety of areas including marketing, fulfilment, and platforms.

Retail Global is August 29-31 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  An eCommerce conference geared towards international commerce, bringing merchants from all over the world to one place to share ideas and network.  With the rise of cross-border eCommerce, this event is a must for merchants with global reach.

Ecommerce Paris is September 12-14 in Paris, France. This is one of the largest eCommerce events in Europe. Themes include eCommerce technologies, digital marketing, customer experience, and logistics.

NG Retail is September 12-14 near Scottsdale, Arizona. This event features senior decision makers highlighting core retail industry themes. High-level networking and a collaborative approach to learning are core themes of the event.

NG Omnichannel is September 19-21 in Austin, Texas. The conference will bring together 75 senior marketing and omnichannel experts from across North America to discuss the use of sophisticated analytics tools in the retail and leisure sector.

Shop.org 2016 Digital Summit is September 26-28 in Dallas, Texas. Over 5,000 digital and omnichannel retailers attended the National Retail Federation’s 2015 event to discuss eCommerce technologies, products, and solutions.

eCommerce Expo UK  is September 28-29 in London, UK.  This conference brings a wide array of speakers on several topics from logistics, multi-channel strategy, marketing and many more.  If you are based in Europe or the UK you should certainly consider attending.

Global Sources Summit is October 17-19 in Hong Kong. This conference is geared toward online and Amazon sellers importing from China for private label. Attendees will learn best practices for their import business including supplier selection, ordering, inspections, logistics, regulatory compliance, and more. Strategies to maximize online sales will also be covered.

The Etail Conference Series is held throughout the year. It focuses on the retail industry, with a multi-channel approach including roundtable discussions, case studies, and one-on-one Q&A sessions. Stops in 2016 include Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Vertical-Specific eCommerce Events

Fashion Digital UK is January 14 in London, UK. More than 80 speakers from a diverse range of experts from the fashion industry’s trendsetters and leading executives.

International Ticketing Association (INTIX) 37th Annual Conference & Exhibition is January 20-22 in Anaheim, California. This event brings ticketing entertainment professionals together from many different sectors, including professional and collegiate sports, the arts, and festivals. Riskified will be presenting a session entitled “Ending Fraud in the Ticketing Industry” via the INTIX Inspiration Stage on January 20th from 2:40pm – 3pm.

Ticket Summit 2016 is July 12-24 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This conference for ticketing merchants brings together experts from some of the most recognizable names in the industry. Speakers in 2015 included Ticketmaster, as well as teams from Major League Baseball.

Luxury Interactive is October 17-19 in New York City. Luxury fashion eCommerce retailers attend this conference to discuss online strategies for marketing, customer acquisition and retention, and more.

Phocuswright Conference is November 14-17 in Los Angeles, California. This is a travel industry conference that focuses on topics will include strategies for startup companies, how to maximize the customer experience in a “post-mobile” world, and effective techniques for marketing and branding in the space.

Platform-Focused eCommerce Events

Unite: Shopify Partner & Developer Conference is March 22-23 in San Francisco, California. The event brings the team behind the Shopify platform together with the merchants who use it. Activities will focus on trends that are shaping the future of commerce.

Demandware Xchange is April 4-6 in Hollywood, Florida. This event features presentations, roundtables, and other information sessions for merchants using the Demandware platform.

Magento Imagine is April 11-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This conference is billed as the premier Magento commerce conference. Participants from over 45 countries are expected to converge to talk about commerce technologies, marketing, and strategy.

Payments & Fraud Related eCommerce Events

The World eCommerce Payments Summit is March 2-3 in London, UK. This event covers a variety of topics in the eCommerce and digital payments space including risk management, partnerships in the payments ecosystem, and trends in how consumers connect to merchants.

Merchant Risk Council MRC Vegas is March 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over 1,500 attendees from more than 30 countries are expected at this conference for eCommerce fraud and payments professionals. Riskified will be attending this event! Riskified will be presenting a session entitled “The Fraud Management Quagmire: Understanding the True Cost of Fraud”.

PYMNTS.com Innovation Project is March 16-17 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The conference focuses on the relationship between payments and commerce in a variety of ways including mobile payments, the financial services industry, and payments security.

Merchant Risk Council EU Congress is May 18-20 in Seville, Spain. The event provides a forum for payments and fraud professionals from around the world to meet in Europe to develop partnerships and discuss industry trends.

MRC Platinum Austria is September 21-23 in Vienna, Austria. This merchant focused event brings the world’s top fraud, payments and risk experts together to learn, share, create, and connect in panel discussions, general sessions, and networking events.

MRC Platinum Atlanta is October 10-12 in Atlanta, Georgia. This event offers an unique experience to attend informative sessions by fraud industry experts that will allow them to learn, share, and connect with other merchants.

Money20/20*** is October 23-26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It brings over 10,000 attendees together to discuss the payments and financial services industry. Disruption in mobile, retail, and marketing services is a key theme of the event.
